Start and end in Dar es Salaam, This affordable safari takes you to two of Tanzania’s iconic parks: Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park. You’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more, all while enjoying comfortable mid-range lodge accommodations. The package includes round-trip flights from Dar to Arusha, a private 4×4 safari vehicle, professional guide, all meals during the safari & hotel pick-up and drop-off in Dar es Salaam.
Program: At 6:00 am (pick-up time depends on your hotel’s location in Dar), our driver will take you to the airport for an 8:00 am flight from Dar to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, our driver-guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park, about 1.5 hours from Arusha, while sharing insights about the history and culture of Arusha and the Maasai people.
Tarangire National Park is well known for its biodiversity including, large elephant herds, consisting of a diversity of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savanna with the Tarangire River wending its way through the parklands. You may have the experience of seeing a lion stalking his prey or leopards watching whilst relaxing in the trees above.
Once the game drive is done, you will drive back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.
Afternoon: You will enjoy your packed lunch inside the park.
Evening: The game drive ends at 4:00 pm. You’ll be driven to the lodge for dinner and relax.
Program: Start your day with a hearty breakfast at 7:00 am as your safari adventure comes to a close. You’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This scenic park is famous for its rich habitats, including groundwater forests and open plains, and is home to tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and a wide variety of birdlife along the shores of the alkaline lake.
After an exciting game drive through this beautiful landscape, you’ll proceed to Arusha Airport for your scheduled 4:30 pm flight back to Dar es Salaam.
