What To Expect

1

Day 1: Transfer by air, Dar es Salaam Airport to Central Serengeti National Park

At 5:00 am (pick-up time varies based on your hotel in Dar es Salaam), our driver will take you to the airport for a 7:00 am flight to Central Serengeti (Seronera airstrip). Upon arrival at 10:40 am, you’ll meet our driver-guide to begin your game drive.

Serengeti National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The great Serengeti migration sees millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing to Masai Mara, facing Nile crocodiles at the river. The Central Serengeti is famous for its abundant wildlife, especially the Big Five. The area hosts over 3,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, and many elephants.  You’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five during your 6-hour game drive.

Day 2: Game drive at Ngorongoro crater (Rhino + Flammingos)

Get up early to have breakfast before heading out for a game drive transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. The drive might take around 2 hours, but along the way, we’ll make some stops to spot animals.

The main attraction of Ngorongoro is its deep, volcanic crater, the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. It’s about 20 kilometers across, 600 meters deep, and covers 300 square kilometers – an awe-inspiring natural wonder. We’ll explore Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, famous for its black rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds.

You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive in the crater. In the evening, we’ll drive back to the lodge for dinner and to spend the night. Today, we recommend leaving early so you can take advantage of the lodge facilities, including the swimming pool and more.

The game drive will end at 4:00 pm. We will then drive to your lodge, which is 45 minutes from the Ngorongoro gate.

Day 3: Game drive in Tarangire National Park and flight back to Dar Es Salaam

Rise and shine with a delicious breakfast at 7:00 am, as today marks the end of our safari. We will depart for Tarangire National Park for a game drive until the afternoon.

Tarangire National Park is well known for its biodiversity, including large elephant herds. It consists of a diversity of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannah, with the Tarangire River winding its way through the parklands. You may see a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching whilst relaxing in the trees above.

Later in the afternoon, after lunch, which will be served at the picnic site inside the park, drive to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam at 4:30 pm. Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam Airport (5:45 pm), our driver will transfer you to your hotel.
